 FAQs

Have a look at some of our FAQs. If there's anything else you'd like to know, contact Clive Campion & Son Ltd and we'll be happy to help.

Will you move furniture out of the room?

Yes we can move large items into the centre of the room and they will be protected by dust sheets, but you must specify this at the time of accepting the quotation - anything that will need moving and any damage that occurs we will not be held liable for. Any small belongings must be removed by the client. All surfaces, furniture and small belongings if they cannot be removed, will be protected by dust sheets but again, you must specify this when accepting the quotation and we will not be liable for any damage. We will not be liable for any breakages or damages that occur to any blinds, curtains or window dressings  that are removed. We will endeavor to re-erect them after the work has been completed but ultimately this is the responsibility of the client. Please ensure that you have adequate insurance to cover any damage.

Do you protect flooring & furniture?

Yes dust sheets are used to cover and protect any flooring, furniture and personal items that cannot be removed from the room(s)

What paint do you use ?
We have accounts with nationwide paint suppliers, and colours from specific manufacturers can be colour matched by our supplier. If a client requires a specific manufacturer this may incur further costs, although the client will be advised of this at time of quotation.

Do you supply & hang wallpaper?
Yes we hang wallpaper. Any wallpaper required by the client will need to be chosen and purchased by the client before the commencement date of the work.

Do you do plastering?

No. We have the services of a plasterer but this will be at a further cost and the client will need to liaise with the plasterer directly and we will not be held liable for any damage by the plasterer or any grievances that may occur

Do you do carpentry & electrical work?

No. We have the services of a carpenter/electrical contractor but this will be at a further cost and the client will need to liaise with the carpenter/electrical contractor directly. We will not be held liable for any damage by the carpenter/electrical contractor or any grievances that may occur

Is there a limit on the size of work you do?

No. No job is too big or too small

What hours do you work?

8 am to 5pm as required. Hours may vary depending on drying time

How long will it take?
The job will be assessed during the quotation time and each client will be advised of approximate duration, although we cannot be held liable for any running over

Are you fully insured?
Yes – Documents available on request

Do you have a Health & Safety Policy?
Yes – Documents available on request

When can you start?

The client will be advised of lead time and start date once they have agreed and accepted the written quotation and this will be advised of via email so that we have an audit trail. Any dates that we give for commencement of the work may be subject to change

Whilst we always endeavour not to change any dates, sometimes this is unavoidable. We will always give you alternative dates if they have to be changed. Any dates given will always be confirmed via email and we ask that the client respond and confirm to stop any confusion

Am I limited to any one manufacturer for my colour choices?

No. You can choose from any manufacturer and we can get your choice colour matched from our supplier.

Why can't you start our exterior work in the rain?

We understand the frustration that customers have when they have had their work booked in for months, only to have us contact them to say it has had to be pushed back because of the weather.

We check the weather many times a day so that we can keep our customers updated. If we have to push your job back, it is because either that the predicted weather is meant to be wet or it is actually wet!

If we start your job and then it starts raining, we would have to pack away our tools & be unable to continue until it is drier.

We would not necessarily be able to start again until the areas that we are working on are dry, so that does not mean that we would be able to start it again once it had stopped raining.
